Bennett House Country Inn - Virginia City |
877-843-5220 |
Our Inn offers casual elegance in the historic wild west town of Virginia City, Montana. Virginia City and nearby Nevada City are historically preserved mining towns that sprung up with the discovery of gold in the Alder Gulch area in 1863. Here, you will find the spirit of the old west as you walk along the wood sidewalks of the main street, just one block from our Country Inn.
In addition to the haunting beauty of the town’s century-old buildings, you can also enjoy performances by the Virginia City Players, melodramas and vaudeville, much the same as the miners might have enjoyed in the 1860’s. Take the narrow-gauge train to Nevada City, one mile away, visit it’s open air museum where you can walk through the ghost town. |

Wade Lake Resort - Cameron |
406-682-7560 |
Wade Lake Cabins are sheltered in a forested canyon on Wade Lake among firs, pines and aspens at 6,300 feet. Along with Cliff Lake, located a quarter mile away, these lakes are part of the Hidden Lake chain of lakes in the Beaverhead - Deerlodge National Forest. The only other development on either lake is a forest service campground.
Designated as a Montana Wildlife Viewing Site, the lakes are an exceptional area. Some area residents include: moose, deer, antelope, black bear, otter, beaver, and bobcat. Both the serious and casual birder will be astounded by the quantity and quality of birding opportunities. Bald eagles and osprey nest on the lakes. All seasons are good for viewing, but in winter Wade Lake stays partially ice-free, providing excellent habitat for wildlife and waterfowl. |
