| The Candlelite Inn located in beautiful Bradford, New Hampshire was built in 1897 by Charles Gillis as a guest home. It has entertained generations of New Hampshire visitors throughout the years and was voted the 2001 Inn of the Year by the readers of Pamela Lanier's travel guide, The Complete Guide to Bed & Breakfasts, Inns & Guesthouses. This fine Victorian structure shows graceful detail, such as the gazebo porch that is perfect for sipping lemonade on a lazy summer day and the parlor that can warm a winter afternoon with its warm cozy fire. The parlor invites guests to sit with a hot cup of apple cider and relax with a good book while the snow falls. |

Located in the small town of Bradford, you'll find a treasure within the walls of the Thistle & Shamrock Inn. The Inn was originally a wonderful old hotel built at the turn of the century to accommodate the traveling salesmen servicing the areas mill towns. Jim and Lynn Horigan, your Inn hosts, have created, from what used to be just a regular hotel, a warm, comfortable environment where you can escape for a great weekend getaway. However, hints of the buildings past charm still remain. The wide staircase and spacious halls leading to the guest rooms recall the building's beginnings in 1898 as a small country hotel.
