  Dunhopen Inn - Hattiesburg |

A Dream & A Hope - In 1982, a friend recommended a Bed & Breakfast Inn in Natchez, Mississippi to Pat Allen for a special weekend getaway. Shortly thereafter, she was a first time B & B guest and the experience kindled her desire to someday create a Bed & Breakfast. Her three children were small so the family came first, but over the years she continued to visit Bed & Breakfasts throughout the country gaining knowledge, ideas, and valuable insight for what was to become Dunhopen.
With her love for people and a desire for each guest’s stay at Dunhopen memorable, she has combined her "Yankee Heritage and Southern Hospitality" to transform Dunhopen from a dream to a reality. |

Come join us and escape to the elegance of the old antebellum south. Biloxi and the Mississippi gulf coast have been a vacation resort area of the south for more than 100 years. Walk on the white sand beach; watch the pelicans and water birds as they fly; or just sit on the spacious porches or veranda and sip tea or a cool mint julep while you watch the boats sail by.
Many hundred-year-old live oaks and one of the oldest magnolia trees in Biloxi shade the Inn. It faces the Gulf of Mexico with a wonderful view of the white sand beach. Two great porches on the front of the house have inviting swings and large rocking chairs. The veranda overlooks the back yard flower garden and patio. A spacious deck provides a nice place to sit, relax under the great magnolia, and enjoy the gulf breeze. |
