A sweeping entry onto the 2-acre grounds of the 1890 former summer estate of Judge Hayden, which he called "Cedarcrest" because of the cedar orchard that originally surrounded the house, leads guests to a unique and stately Colonial Revival home that combines the preserved architectural detail of a past age and the comfort of the present day.
Following the stairs up to the front veranda, guests enter into the center hall, which lies between Judge Hayden's rose-colored music room and the cranberry-colored salon and which offers views to the back of the property through graceful archways. The two front rooms, as well as two guest rooms and the formal dining room, offer the original working fireplaces. |

The Perryville Inn is located in southeastern Massachusetts, 20 minutes east of Providence, Rhode Island and within one hour of Boston, Plymouth, Newport, and Mystic.
This 19th century Victorian is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. In a quiet country setting, the 6 acre property overlooks an 18 hole public golf course and has wooded grounds and rambling brook. Tom and Betsy Charnecki restored and opened the Inn in 1985.
Air conditioned and smoke free rooms are tastefully appointed with antiques and colorful handmade quilts.
