The Log House Bed and Breakfast is a unique building located two miles southeast of Russellville, Kentucky on Highway 100, Franklin Road. Russellville is situated just 30 miles west of Bowling Green Kentucky on Highway 68 and is just 12 miles from the Shaker Museum at South Union.
Although a relatively new building - construction began in 1976 - the house is built from hand-hewn logs recovered from old cabins and barns in the Logan County area. Many of the materials and interior fittings were also salvaged from old buildings in the surrounding area.
Walking trails provide access to much of the 15 acres of mostly wooded property. As you walk the trails through the woods, you will enter a prairie remnant that contains many unique examples of Kentucky flora and fauna. |
