The Florida House Inn bed and breakfast, located on Amelia Island in the very heart of the Fernandina Beach Historic District, is Florida’s oldest surviving hotel. Our pet friendly inn is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Since 1857, when the Florida Railroad opened the Florida House, a long list of special guests has sought the genteel hospitality of our inn. We have hosted such notables as Ulysses S. Grant, Cuban poet and freedom fighter Jose Marti, plus many film stars including Mary Pickford, and Laurel & Hardy. The list includes many visits by Rockefellers and Carnegies and other famous Americans.

Your on-site hosts and owners, Ken & Marcia, would like to invite you to visit the Victorian House where we have, as our guests like to say, "little treasures and unexpected pleasures waiting for you." Tucked away in the tranquil setting of historic St. Augustine, far away from the traffic and located on very quiet cobblestone streets, this turn-of-the-century inn strikes a harmonious balance between modern convenience and century-old charm. We have been approved and inspected by Superior Small Lodging & Florida Bed & Breakfast Inns.
Originally built in 1897 and meticulously restored in 1983, Victorian House warmly welcomes guests with its charming stencil decor and tasteful antiques. There are 8 guests rooms in all-4 in the main house and 4 suites in the Carriage House. |

| Sometimes you have to be a little adventurous just to find Amelia Island...it's not on all the maps. And our bright lights have names like the "Big Dipper". It is getting away. And the Elizabeth Pointe Lodge is also what it must have been like...the main house is constructed in an 1890's "Nantucket shingle-style" with a strong maritime theme. Our "Main Attractions" include sleeping late, breakfast on the porch overlooking the ocean, cuddling by the fireplace, sandpiper chasing on the beach. |
